How to Get There
-
The closest and easiest airport is Ibiza Airport.
-
You will need to take a ferry from Ibiza Port (Puerto de Ibiza) to Formentera. When taking a taxi, we recommend asking for “the ferry terminal for Formentera” to ensure you are taken to the correct port. The taxi ride from the airport to the port takes about 10 minutes, and the ferry crossing takes approximately 30 minutes.
There is no need to book ferry tickets in advance. Ferries run frequently throughout the day and tickets can be purchased online, on board or directly at Ibiza Port upon arrival, giving you greater flexibility should your arrival times change.
The main ferry operators are Balearia, Formentera Lines and Trasmapi. For the quickest journey, we recommend the passenger fast ferry which takes 30 minutes. The car ferry can take up to 1 hour so please check when booking.
-
Taxis are available on the island, and cars or scooters can be rented at La Savina (Formentera Port) for easy travel throughout the weekend.
Please note that it is not permitted to bring rental cars from Ibiza to Formentera.
